Hello to all
I enjoy talking with others. I love hearing stories about others adventures and where they are heading to next. I'm in my sixties and retired as of March 2020. I would be doing the work at the campground and I'm very good with my hands. I am a quick learner and wish to learn all about the running of camp grounds.
This is my first time trying to get a job. And I promise that whoever hires me. Will not be disappointed. Honest hard working polite and fun to be around. Thank you for giving me a chance.
Rig Description:
2014 32ft Rockwood Windjammer 2809 Travel Trailer, 2 slides, 50 amps.Our tow/towed vehicle is a 2011 Nissan Titan Pro-4x.
Skills:
I'm now officially retired from the NC Dept. Of Public Safety. Ready to camp and talk to people from all walks of life, I have owned my own Photography Studio for 18 years
Worked with handicap children
help run the family business light remodeling and painting.
I can do plumbing some electrical painting and some remodeling.
Workamping Experience:
I have been working this summer at the Gatewood Campground in Pulaski VA. My primary job is running the boat house. Which I rent out boats, keep all equipment in running order. I also see bait soft drinks and snacks. Also help out with lawn work and assisting the campers with any questions or concerns. Finished my first summer and it was wonderful Starting 2021 at Gatewood Campground will be learning the ins and outs of running the campground. Being trained to take over as manager. The previous manger had to leave as manager due to health issues. I'm now overseeing the day to day operations of the campground. Which includes scheduling visits for quests, maintaining the grounds and welcoming new quests when they arrive. I love workings in a campground setting. Been managing Gatewood Park and Campground since the fall of 2021. I've learned a lot and its been great working with all our new visitors.
