You also get access to all the grass fed beef you can eat and organic eggs that are available. For the 20 hours we usually just go by what everyone is able to do, past caretakers, have cleaned up yard, fixed and built fence, done construction projects, stacked wood, gardened, cleaned chicken coop, this is just to give you an example. When we are gone you are required to stay on place and take care of our critters and gardens and that will be your hours during those weeks. During the summer we can be gone 2 weeks out of each month sometimes, and then sometimes we are there all month. When we are home you are welcome to go and discover parts of Montana as we have had some people do(we live next to great fishing). Lake Houston Wilderness Park is currently seeking camp hosts to live on site in this beautiful, lushly forested expanse of nearly 5,000 acres. The park is located four miles east of New Caney (approximately 30 miles north of Houston) off Hwy-59. Lake Houston Wilderness Park is the only park in the departments inventory that allows overnight camping. This is not an RV park; only camp hosts can park RVs on the property. Although there is no hunting allowed in the park, there are plenty of other things to do. It offers a variety of outdoor learning experiences for people of all ages including camping, hiking, trail running, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, birding, fishing, and horseback riding (visitors must bring own bikes, fishing equipment, watercraft, and horses). Upon request, provide assistance and visitor information to the visiting public. Use of backpack leaf blower the road. Document visitor information, place courtesy tags or check for fee compliance in campsites. Inform visitors of rule violations and report violators to park specialist.
