On clear days, Mount Rainier and Mount Baker are visible from a sandy beach. Our camp hosts are a guest's first point of contact when they arrive at our campground. The Camp Host will greet the public, assist them with questions, help guests find a site, or provide guidance about the local area. The Camp Host is responsible for checking trash and recycling bins daily, basic maintenance of the grounds, sites, restrooms, amenities, and additional facilities. 2026 will be our second full year of operations after construction and we look forward to another great year and need a few more staff to fill out our team of returning workers. We are a private/locally owned campground in Moab so you will be working directly with me, not some form of management. We have openings for office staff, grounds maintenance, and housekeeping. Employee sites are full hookup RV sites with power, water, sewer, laundry, cable TV, and Wi-Fi utilities all included. The first 12 hours a week will cover your site and then we pay an hourly wage for any additional hours worked. You can plan on 15 - 30 hours a week depending on our staffing situation.

- Office work includes taking reservations, retail sales, answering phones, and checking campers in. Must be comfortable using computer and email systems.
- Housekeeping includes general cleaning of our 13 cabins and restroom/laundry facilities.
- Grounds and maintenance work may include general fixes, helping campers with issues, parking campers, keeping the property clean of litter and weeds, and splitting/bundling firewood. We also have small improvement projects if you are handy with power tools and like to do light carpentry work.

Workers may be asked to work in any/all of the above listed job capacities. Workers must be confident and outgoing people who work really well on their own but can still fit in with our overall team environment. We have busy times and slow times so you will have plenty of time to explore the beautiful areas in and around Moab. Moab is a recreation mecca and boasts almost every type of recreation you would want to do. We have tons of national parks and recreation areas near by and within hours of here. Lake Houston Wilderness Park is currently seeking camp hosts to live on site in this lushly forested expanse of nearly 5,000 acres. The park is located four miles east of New Caney (approximately 30 miles north of Houston) off Hwy-59. Lake Houston Wilderness Park is the only park in the departments inventory that allows overnight camping. This is not an RV park. Although there is no hunting allowed in the park, there are plenty of other things to do. It offers a variety of outdoor learning experiences for people of all ages including camping, hiking, trail running, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, birding, fishing, and horseback riding. Camp hosts are not allowed to board horses at the park. Most of the park is heavily forested with beautiful trails. The position is a part-time volunteer position assisting with essential end of day and after hours functions related to guest safety, security, maintenance, or other duties along those lines. Other duties may include but aren't limited to custodial, backup cashiering, and nature center duties. In exchange for these work duties the Camp Host will be given a campsite with full hookups, and free use of facilities. Duties may be assigned as needed depending on the skills and experience of the applicant. The Camp Host must meet the following criteria: Prefer a retired individual or couple Must be willing to approach visitors when necessary in a calm and polite manner. Must pass a background check Must have an RV, valid drivers license, and a personal cell phone with service provider. We are looking for camp hosts to help with our spring and summer seasons. This is an ideal position for a retired couple. It is FHU only. Couples work 3 days a week in exchange for a free RV site. If you are a single person it would be 4 days a week. Duties include: answering the phone, taking reservations by phone and through the computer, sanitizing the bathhouse, delivering firewood to campsites, ensuring campsites are clean prior to the next camper's arrival and maintaining the grounds. Camp Tonkawa Springs RV Park, located in East Texas, is seeking volunteer couples and singles for the 2026 swim/ summer season and for winter 2026. They would be working in the office/housekeeping and maintenance positions. If you work in the office you will be answering the phones, making reservations, checking in campers, collecting fees for swimming etc. Maintenance will be escorting campers to their sites, cleaning sites and bath house, patrolling the swimming area etc. You will be working 1 week on and 3 weeks off for every month you are here. The week you are working, you will be on duty 8:00 am - 5:00 pm during winter months and 8:00 - 7:00 during summer swim season. You will be on call the rest of the time during the week that you work. In exchange of your volunteer time and help you will receive a free FHU site, and free laundry allotment. We are asking for a 3 or 6 month comment for these positions. No wages involved.
