Camp Host Position - We are looking for a Camp Host couple. We have a campground right on the banks of the South Fork of the American river in the towns of Coloma and Lotus, CA ( about an hour east of Sacramento in the Gold Country Foothills). Our Camp Host is responsible for checking in our rafting guests that are camping the night before and after their trips, scheduling them into one of 5 main group sites (each site can hold anywhere from 5-30 people). In a normal spring we start off slow then build into our peak summer season we would have campers almost 7 days a week. Camp noise, campfire size, and night time emergencies are also part of the responsibilities. We also rent 6 cabin tents that have 4 wooden beds with pad on a deck overlooking the river that need to be swept out after the guests leave. Lastly, the dreaded bath and shower rooms that need to be cleaned each day (guides help out after their trips but don't do a deep cleaning), an important part of the position, as you can understand. It's a pretty chill position that needs to be done by people people that can handle most situations with respect and great customer service. Our camp hosts usually are the first contact with us before they go rafting. We have our camp hosts on for 5 evenings (and mid days to the bathrooms and gen maintenance (some included in the pay below and some would be extra pay, when it comes up). Also, one of the camp host persons can earn extra money driving our buses (if they have a CDL with bus driving experience), vans, and/or our equipment van and trailer with guide staff to and from the river, only a regular license is needed. We have a spot with a 30 amp service( which from the size of your RV you would need a 50 amp - Yes? - I could rewire the service to 50 amp if needed. (Actually 2 spots - one for the camp host and the other for the camp cook). This means watering, mowing, weed eating and blowing off sites and taking care of potted flowers will be needed. We have a lot of wildlife here, so at times you will be cleaning up after them.

We have a beautiful bathroom and laundry facility that is required to be kept up to the highest standard. This takes about 1 hour to clean.

This small park is nestled in a cove along an ocean passage and surrounded by large trees and dense temperate rainforest. In or near the park there is good fishing, kayaking and wildlife viewing for whales, bald eagles, and black bear. The site has several miles of hiking trail. There is also an abundance of Sitka-black tailed deer right out the front door. Settler's Cove is a small 14 site campground, with a Public-Use Cabin and a day use area, located 18 miles north of Ketchikan, population 14,500. Ketchikan has a variety of art and music happenings and is known for having the largest collection of totem poles in the world. Summers are mild and misty. Winter weather is wet and sometimes windy, with occasional ice but very little snow. Winter daylight hours are reduced but never less than 7 hours daylight. Host Duties: Cleaning of cabin and latrines. Light maintenance within the park, its facilities, campsites and the cabin. Upon request, provide assistance and visitor information to the visiting public. Use of backpack leaf blower the road. Chop, bundle and sell firewood, and assist in clearing sticks and other debris from hiking trails. Winter season may require occasional light snow shoveling. Document visitor information, place courtesy tags or check for fee compliance in campsites. Inform visitors of rule violations and report violators to park specialist. Amenities: $200/month stipend, Log cabin with some furnishings, free diesel provided for stove, free electricity, free internet, free phone (local calls only), and a rainwater system. Amenities include an oven, sink, fridge, washer/drier, and separate shower room. Season: 6 months, Summer 5/1 9/30; .And winter, 10/1 - 4/30. Full season preferred but not required. Totem Bight State Historical Park Totem Bight is located 10 miles north of Ketchikan. It is the only park in the Alaska State system dedicated to the Southeast Alaskan native culture, displaying the art and architecture of the Tlingit and Haida. The park exhibits 14 totem poles and a clan house, hand-crafted 75+ years ago by Native carvers in the area. A short self-guided trail winds through the rainforest to the totem display which faces an ocean passage. In the summer, commercially guided tours from the cruise ships frequent the park. The park is a day use facility, not a campground. Nighttime visitors are rare. Summers are mild and misty. Winter season weather is wet and sometimes windy, with occasional ice but very little snow. Winter season daylight hours are reduced but never less than 7 hours daylight. Host Duties: Assist staff with garden, light grounds maintenance and janitorial duties; open and close the historic clan house daily. Fold interpretive guides (about 50 a day). Deter vandalism/criminal mischief; contact the appropriate law enforcement or ems agency for emergencies; and inform the Park Specialist of any problems. If approached by park visitors, Inform visitors of the park regulations, and policies. Monitor commercial sign-in sheets. Winter season may include occasional moderate snow shoveling. The Narrows RV Park in beautiful Princeton, Oregon is looking for a long-term unicorn, starting immediately. We are currently seeking a multifaceted individual or couple that can help us with digital marketing. We need help building our social media presence, email marketing and updating our website. We anticipate this would account for 8-10 hours a week, hourly rate DOE. This role could be done remotely, or could be completed while living on site. If living on site and if additional hours are needed, you could also help in our onsite restaurant and convenience store. We have about 15 hours per week to offer in that role during peak season. Serving, manning the cash register, pumping gas and propane are all part of the responsibilities. For these duties, we will pay an hourly $14.70, plus tips which can range from $2.00 to $6.00 more per hour. The position includes a free RV spot, with water, sewer, electric, garbage, Wi-Fi, and there is coin operated laundry and propane on site. We require that your RV be at least 20 years or newer, we are flexible on the age, if the RV appears acceptable, and you must be at least 18 years of age. Each person must volunteer 20 hours/week (40 hours total for couples) in exchange for an RV site with FHU. Laundry and showers on-site, available for use 24/7, at no cost. Campground-Work Couple Honey Bear Campground, a family owned and operated campground, is looking for a well rounded, adaptable, and outgoing couple to join our team for the 2025 Summer season.
