The Camp Host / Host Couple will be the guests' first point of contact for any issues while staying in the park. The camp host will work together with other team members in providing the best experience for our campers. This position will be the eyes and ears of the park. For example, enforcement of speed limits, child/dog care, and after-hours noise restrictions are very important. Assist guests upon arrival with finding their assigned site and be available for any questions campers may have. Inspect sites when guests leave and prior to next guest arrival (ex. Garbage on sites or full firepits). Work with management to resolve any issues. Light grounds work including moving sprinklers on sites as needed. Clean and stock bathrooms in campground 3x per day or as needed ( 4 stalls total) Monitor after-hours activities and enforce quiet hours as needed. Be available to sell firewood, ice and other retail items. Help management in documenting extra tents, pets, or vehicles on sites. There are also a variety of potential daytime duties that can be performed on a more flexible timeline, including closing our recreation hall and quiet room nightly, cleaning up and maintaining our recreation hall, playground area & parking lot, and keeping our recycling area organized. Additionally, there will be opportunities to assist with additional tasks as needed, such as campground landscaping. MTM Farms is a Multi-Family and Multi-generational Family Farm in Morris, MN. The majority of our Harvest Crew will be returning. The Panhandle Pioneer Settlement in Blountstown, FL is a living history museum on 5 acres with a focus on Florida Panhandle pioneer life between 1820 and 1940. The Settlement is looking to fill immediate openings in the Store, Grounds, Buildings, Maintenance, and leading Tours. Requirements include working 24 volunteer hours weekly per FHU site. Most of the time, couples will have the same three days on, and four days off. We have many events each year at which our volunteers, in period appropriate clothing, host one of our historical buildings, telling our guests about the history of the building and the families who lived there, or provide demonstrations of pioneer skills. Costumes can be provided and training for the hosting and demonstrating is also available. Work includes interacting with campers, hikers, and OHV trail riders, opening and closing gates (at day-use sites only), groundskeeping, cleaning, trash pickup, running equipment such as mowers, blowers, pressure washers, golf carts, Four-wheelers and side by sides, etc. This is a non-paid volunteer postion but a full-hook-up campsite, free laundry (at most facilities) will be provided along with tons of fun in beautiful, sunny north Florida. We're looking for people have an RV who work well with fellow employees, the public, and Forest Service staff. The new hosts will be fully trained on site. Work schedules will be mostly weekends and holidays. Our hosts are needed year-round, but we really need them for the summer months may-october. If you give us a summer, we will give you the winter.
